November 25, 2022 – Bayer Philippines launches its Bahay Kubo Project in Brgy. Carmay East as a part of its endeavor in community empowerment. Various stakeholders, our farmers, and farmers’ wives as the target participants attended the said event.
The Bahay Kubo Project started with a field tour of the demo farm introducing the improved corn varieties and vegetables of the Bahay Kubo. After this, the capability and capacity-building program took place that includes lectures and training on corn and vegetable production that will help them increase their farm produce as well as promote health and wellness.
This undertaking was made possible through the advocacy of our beloved Mayor William S. Cezar who prioritizes the welfare of our farmers together with the assistance and coordination of Dr. Daniel Joseph Sim of DCS Trading, Mr. Ben Mendoza with the Agriculture Office, Bayer Philippines Inc., and other stakeholders. May this project be productive and produce good results as our farmers put into action the knowledge and training that they will learn from it so that they may sustain and provide for their own families.
